So, as a result of Cherena's sewing lesson, I decided to make a few more, and I've added my small business label to them!  I think they look pretty good actually:

And these led onto my husband suggesting to me that I make some as big storage baskets for my Ikea shelves.  so out came the machine again, and I happened to quickly run up 2 of them before I ran out of time!  This is the result:

All in all, a good make and I think when I get the other few done, they will look pretty good on my shelves.  They certainly tidy them up, at least you can't see the mess that's in them!!

I have been doing some extra bits and pieces of sewing this last couple of weeks and trying to teach my youngest daughter how to sew with a sewing machine.  She has been asking me for a good long while to show her how to use the sewing machine.  I had to think of a simple project for her to do, and knowing that most 12 year olds have the attention span of a gnat, it had to be something that wouldn't take forever and that she could see some results fairly quickly.  So I came up with the idea of a fabric basket, and this is the outcome:

Isn't she a clever girl!  She was really pleased with how they came out; now she wants to do some more sewing!  Sunglasses case next I think.

OK, so the last year I have been working full time and haven't done as much crafting as I would like.  But I saw some beautiful Pebble Art and thought, 'I can do that', as you do; but the difference being, I did do it.

So I've added some of my pebble art pictures for you.  And yes, they are for sale, so if you are interested at all, just email me.

My artwork will also be on display and for sale in Anerley's Emporium in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex as from 1st February 2017.

Envelope Advent calendar

When I first made this I did it as a trial to see how it would come out, and I was so thrilled with the outcome!

This is the closed look.

This is what it looks like pulled out.

Using the Pom Pom Santas I came up with the idea of taking just the head and making jar toppers.  The school that my two youngest children went to have a Christmas fayre every year and they have a jar tombola.  Every child fills a jar with something - sweets or goodies of some kind - and decorate it.  The children then pay 50p for a ticket and match the ticket up to the jar, every child wins a jar (every ticket wins a jar).  So this is what I came up with:

Just a couple of cakes that I have done in recent years.

For Emma's birthday we made a Dalek cake:

For Lucy's birthday we made a 'Monster Book of Monsters' from Harry Potter:

I was asked to make a wedding cake for a friend at church, carrot cake cupcakes:

And they said because I had done such a good job of this wedding cake, could I make another one for another couple at church!  So we used the same board (recycled) and added some different fabric and beads, but used the same recipe for the cakes.  Came out ok:

Well I haven't been on here for best part of the year now!  So I need to do some updating.  I have other projects that I need to put on here that I have done in recent months/years. Also we are now getting into the last four months before Christmas, so out will come the craft stuff and production will start. I'm so excited!!

I have also been teaching myself some new tricks this year, knitting and crocheting.  I've done more crocheting than knitting, not because it's easier, but because it's quicker and I can make more things with crochet.  Have been enjoying teaching myself this year and love it when I create something new.

So... onwards with uploading!
